Reflection Of Program

I learned a lot while working with the program. It made me aware of some of the things I do and pay no mind to. For example I realized that I need to watch how I talk and avoid using slang and other inappropriate language. I also learned a bunch new skills like how to edit film a record videos. I wouldn’t recommend any changes except the fact that we didn’t go on any trips really but over all it was a good program

Podcast Experience

Before the program I didn’t know anything about podcasting. Now I know what a podcast is, I learned how to create a podcast and I also wrote my own blogs for the first time. It hasn’t really influenced my life too much but it was a good learning experience.

Windows Movie Maker.

You can use windows movie maker for editing videos that you have uploaded on the computer. Today I learned how to split the videos and how to add a title. I also learned how to add effects and captions. The program was very simple once our teachers gave us clear directions. I think it was only that easy because we had people showing us how to do everything step by step.

How Did The Trip Relate To Technology?

The trip downtown was very interesting and I learned a lot of things. I saw the Liberty Bell, we visited the Independence Visitors center and we went to Ben Franklin’s Court. Ben Franklin’s had a lot to do with technology.Ben Franklin invented a lot of things. While visiting those places I saw a bunch of basic inventions that led to some of the things we use today.

Intervieiwing The Community.

I walked around the area of my school visiting different stores and businesses interviewing and surveying people. I surveyed a number of business owner and employees. I thought it was kind of interesting interacting with the community because I got the chance to learn their view points and how they felt about things. I noticed that a lot of people depend on technology for almost everything and with out it the lives of a lot of people would be changed drastically.

A podcast is a video that makes a point about a specific topic. A podcast informs people on the topic. A podcast lets you watch what you want when you want by recording and storing videos. Now you see podcast allows individuals to publish (podcast) radio shows,etc.

A survey is a list of questions. Surveys are used to determine the ideas or opinions of a group of people. You can make accurate survey questions by staying on topic and keeping the questions simple. I completed a survey for my school once asking me things they could improve.

What is the effect of podcasting in the community?

A podcast is a video that is a small proportion and it is usually informative. An effect of making a podcasting the community is, the people will be made aware of what is happening in their close-knit community. Some people are in denial or are just plain ignorant to what is happening around them. A podcast in the neighborhood is good because for example littering is a huge issue in a lot of communities but people don’t know the effect it has on the animals and other things. A podcast can make the community aware.

I am an intelligent 18-year-old student who has made a couple bad decisions in her past but has recently been put back on the right path. I love to read and write because in the world of literature there are no boundaries. Workready is a summer program for youths that teaches them different work tactics and prepares them for the real work world.

What elements are needed to create a strong podcast? How can you ensure the podcast will go as well as you want?

Strong podcast are developed when the person knows what they are talking about. The speaker should speak professionally and try to avoid slang and slouching. To make sure my podcast comes out well I will make sure I collect enough information so that I know what I am talking about. I will also make sure I take it serious when I’m doing my filming and I am not laughing.
